Haptic-Enabled Hand Rehabilitation in Stroke Patients: A Scoping Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
There is a plethora of technology-assisted interventions for hand therapy, however, less known about the effectiveness these interventions. This scoping review aims to explore studies targeting rehabilitation identify most effective It expected that multifaceted are more efficient therapeutic approaches than mono-interventions. The will aim map existing haptic-enabled upper limb and investigates their effects on motor functional recovery in patients with stroke. methodology used this based Arksey O’Malley framework, which includes following stages: identifying research question, relevant studies, study selection, charting data, collating, summarizing, reporting results. Results show using three or four different technologies was positive two (one technology + haptics). In particular, when standardized as percentage outcomes, combination showed better results haptics one other technologies. To conclude, portrayed could help therapists decide technology-enabled therapy approach best suited needs. Those seeking undertake development anticipate further opportunities develop telerehabilitation platforms.

Stroke rehabilitation and patients with multimorbidity: a scoping review protocol
Stroke care presents unique challenges for clinicians, as most strokes occur in the context of other medical diagnoses. An assessment of capacity for implementing "best practice" stroke care found clinicians reporting a strong need for training specific to patient/system complexity and multimorbidity. With mounting patient complexity, there is pressure to implement new models of healthcare deli...
متن کاملThe Haptic Bracelets: Gait rehabilitation after Stroke
Restoring mobility and rehabilitation of gait are high priorities for rehabilitation of neurological conditions. Cueing using metronomic rhythmic sensory stimulation has been shown to improve gait, but most versions of this approach have used auditory and visual cues. In contrast, we propose the development of a prototype wearable system for rhythmic cueing based on haptics. The main aim of thi...
متن کاملHaptic Devices For Post - Stroke Gait Rehabilitation
Wearable technologies, in the form of small, light and inconspicuous devices, can be designed to help individuals suffering from neurological conditions carry out regular rehabilitation exercises. Current research has shown that walking to a rhythm can lead to significant improvements in various aspects of gait. Our primary aim is to provide a suitable, technology based intervention to enhance ...
متن کاملOutcome Measures in Tele-Rehabilitation and Virtual Reality for Stroke Survivors: Protocol for a Scoping Review
UNLABELLED Despite the increased interest about tele-rehabilitation, virtual reality and outcome measures for stroke rehabilitation, surprisingly little research has been done to map and summarize the most common outcome measures used in tele-rehabilitation. For this review, we propose to conduct a systematic search of the literature that reports outcome measures used in tele-rehabilitation or ...
متن کاملHaptic-Based Neurorehabilitation in Poststroke Patients: A Feasibility Prospective Multicentre Trial for Robotics Hand Rehabilitation
Background. Haptic robots allow the exploitation of known motor learning mechanisms, representing a valuable option for motor treatment after stroke. The aim of this feasibility multicentre study was to test the clinical efficacy of a haptic prototype, for the recovery of hand function after stroke. Methods. A prospective pilot clinical trial was planned on 15 consecutive patients enrolled in 3...
